Welcome to the brand new redesign of aTravelogue.com. This website has lain fallow for a while now and for that, I apologize. But now with a fresh new design and a trip to Italy approaching very soon, I hope to be posting here a bit more frequently.
You'll notice that this site is far from complete. I'm hoping to be putting up more of the old information along with new stuff in the next few weeks.
In the meantime, let me know what you think of the redesign (and if anything isn't working like it should.

It's very odd, in the last week this blog has had a large spike in visitors from Oakland, CA. There are no keywords or referral sites associated with it as far as I can tell. They appear to be direct visits. If any one out there knows why this should be, please let me know.
Also, I know this blog has lain fallow for a while and I apologize. I've been focusing work on my
other blog for the time being and I haven't been doing nearly as much planning for our trip to Mexico as I should be.
It will soon be time to start planning our honeymoon to Italy for next year, so activity should be picking up around here soon.

Well it took a little longer than expected to transfer over the domain names to my new hosting service so I have not yet made the big move. I will, however, be doing that this weekend so if the site disappears for a bit or is a bit of a mess, that's why.
Please bear with me as I make the transition.
The most immediate thing you will notice is the address bar will now say www.atravelogue.com/… instead of comcast or .mac.
If you have those pages bookmarked, I will ask you to redirect them to there new addresses. I will try and put up a forwarding page where the old pages used to be.

I'm fed up with Yahoo and their constant email outages so this weekend I will be transferring all my websites to a new server. If you check in here and things are wonky our just not there please be patient as it will take a little time to get everything back up and running and all the links pointed in the right place.

I've taken the map off the blog and moved it to it's
own page where I've also added a map that traces the route we will be taking on our trip.
I will also soon be adding a general travel resource page to go along with the place specific ones.

At long last I have been allowed to upgrade to Blogger Beta. And while there are somethings that will take me a long time to figure out (the new templating for one) there is one immediate benefit: tags (or "labels" as Blogger insists on calling them).
If you are unfamiliar with tagging here's the deal: directly under each post is a list of "labels" describing the content of the post. When you click on one of these labels you will be taken to a page featuring all the posts with that label.
So for instance, if you were to click on the label
paris you get all the posts about Paris. Pretty easy and, I hope, very useful.
